Sadness All Around

Devastation has hit Guatemala. This weekend the Volcan de Fuego (Volcano of Fire) experienced its most powerful eruption in over a decade. Unfortunately many people have lost their lives while those who have homes nearby have lost everything they own. It is a very sad time but we are very thankful that the villages and people we work with are all okay. Our school is an hour away from the volcano and currently we are dealing with poor air quality

World Race- Week 2

This past week, our World Race team  got to work at the "Big Blue House" or the Loving Arms main building. Some days we would hoe the yard and garden around the house and the property. We even helped the amazing Angel repair a fence that had broken down. But most days we were inside the building, collaborating with the staff and volunteers to clean and organize,  prepairing for the upcoming ministries. We cleaned the classrooms, sorted though papers,

Arrived Safe and Sound

Greetings all. Arrived safe and sound in Guatemala. Great flights and very smooth sailing (or flying that is). Love going through El Salvador compared to the horrible experiences we had with Miami airport and US Customs the first 3-4 years I came here! Off for supper - it's only 6 20 here but I'm hungry and tired.  Takes a few days to adjust but my Nov. trip will not be quite as tough because we change time at the end of this month and Guatemala
