Twenty Valley Golf and Country Club
Almost 100 golfers showed up despite the weather conditions on Saturday September 21st, 2013 at Twenty Valley Golf and Country Club in Vineland for the First Annual Loving Arms Charity Golf Tournament.
The decision was made that despite the torrential rain (and Noah showing up with his Ark (lol)) to proceed with the tournament and to at least complete nine holes. The players proceeded to their carts. And the tournament got underway…
With the draw tickets all sold everyone moved to the dining room and a couple of speeches started the evening.
The Loving Arms video was shown followed by a brief description of the charity and an explanation of what the funds raised from the event would be used for. After dinner the draw took place with the club pro, Joel Martens winning the Vineland Estates Wine Package, a bottle of Ron (Rum) Zacapa won by Adam Southwick and a Jon Kaplan Picture by Harry Forrester.
The Golf Prizes were awarded to the respective winners.

Everyone had a very enjoyable time, and the event was a great success, raising over $12,000 for the Loving Arms’ Centre of Hope (property and training centre) (see www.lovingarms.ca). Thank you to all the participants and of course the sponsors and donors who were so instrumental in making the event such a success. A special thank you to all the volunteers: Brian Gore, the Coordinator of this event, Linda Coghlin, President Loving Arms, Meghan Coghlin, Joyce Hopkins, Frances Kwong, Helen Gore and Maria Forrester.
We look forward to seeing you at next year’s event on September 13th, 2014 at the same facility.
