December 15, 2014 – Day 1

Yesterday was our first work day here in Guatemala. Our team woke up around 8 o'clock, had breakfast, and briefly talked about what our goals for the day would be. Around 9, we went to the Centre of Hope and from 9 to noon we split into groups and did various projects. Today was an exciting day for our team! It’s hard to believe that our week is more than halfway over, but the Lord has blessed us so much this week! This morning, our team again split into groups to work on different projects. The first group returned to the Center of Hope where we worked with Barney to continue painting. We finished up the foyer and then began painting another room that will eventually be used as a classroom to teach children and adults English and computer literacy.
