Day 3 – We need to work on our Spanish!

Yesterday on our way to the Loving Arms site, we stopped at a local hardware store, a terrestrial, for some parts. At first, we had to explain to Minor that we wanted to go there. Mynor doesn't speak English and we don't speak Spanish. So we got out our Google translate and gave it a shot. Sure enough we got the message through. Thursday – Chartwell Team Update

We started the day bright and early as per the last three days. The building team went out to the house in the morning and and were able to put up all the walls to make the perimeter of the house. Finally the house is staring to really come together! Team Update – Chartwell Team (Monday)

A team of 10 students and 4 leaders from Chartwell Baptist Church in Oakville had a 15 hour journey from Toronto all the way to Parramos, Guatemala. We brought many donation bags of clothing, toys, and school supplies. We were welcomed with love and joy from everyone at Loving Arms. Guatemala Mission Trip

Some of you are aware that Joyce and I have a close association with Guatemala through the Loving Arms Mission. We will be leading a mission trip to Guatemala to serve the Loving Arms Mission at their Centre of Hope in Parramos from Saturday, February 13 to Sunday, Feb 21, 2016. This is a great experience for those who have never been on a short term mission trip. The purpose of this trip is to make an eternal difference to the community

Thank You Chartwell Youth Team

Loving Arms would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the youth team and their leaders, from Chartwell Baptist Church, Oakville Ontario, for all their hard work and dedication over the past week. This team built and adopted a home for Maria Luisa Pablo and her three children. In the morning, we split up into two groups.  Six members of our team went to paint the new kitchen at the school in Parajax and the other six worked on the property.  On the property, we created an assembly line to move over 300 concrete blocks from one side of the property to another.  Then we helped carry buckets of sand and then buckets of gravel.  The sand and gravel will be used to make cement to build the wall with the blocks.  In the
