Team Update!

Today the children had oral exams in English class.  It fills my heart with pride to listen to my sponsored children speak English as well as Spanish.
Lunch was chicken soup with the children, a meal that my friends helped pay for.  The soup was delicious, and I loved watching the children all eat together upstairs from their class rooms.
After a little time trying to help translate some writing to English  My mom and stepdad purchased their sponsored boy, bunk beds  They also sent some outfits and other items.  I also purchased bunkbeds for my two sponsored children. the parents are so very grateful, talking about how big of a deal this was to them, and how happy they are to have had the chance to meet me.
The happiness I feel while talking with the families and being with the children and seeing their smiles is what makes these trips worth it and why I keep returning to Guatemala.
