Tyler’s Article.

This is an article written by a boy in Grade 4, Tyler LeBlond, after his father’s friend had shared about several trips to help Loving Arms as a volunteer in Guatemala.  Tyler wrote it last year for a school project.  His father went on a Loving Arms volunteer trip recently.

Loving Arms President Linda Coghlin commented: “…what really impressed me about this article is that Tyler, not having been there himself, not only understood our organization and what we stand for but also the people of Guatemala… And more importantly – he get’s it – he understands the importance of giving back, helping others that have so much less than we do -quite amazing really.”
Grade 4 Student Tyler has a Message about volunteering…

Volunteering with Loving Arms is very satisfying.

It is an excellent organization that has high moral and ethical standards . As a volunteer, I help write letters and whatever else I can as well as follow up on sponsorships. Also I took part in a team trip to Guatemala where I met the families we work with and for. There I helped the children with their English. Others participated in making pig pens and building the wonderful new stoves. It was both exhausting and exhilarating and I will go again. We were well taken care of and safe at all times. It was an experience of a lifetime for this relatively timid traveler.

Outstanding Experience

“Glen and I had an outstanding experience with Loving Arms in Guatemala.  Our trip was well organized and the volunteer experience was amazing.  We know that we have made a difference in the lives of so many in Guatemala, but also know that they have touched our lives in such a special way.  We can hardly wait to return.”
