The education program at the School of Hope is designed to provide children with a high-quality education that enables them to excel academically. This comprehensive program supports students from Jr. Kindergarten to Grade 8, expanding to Grade 9 in 2025, with essential educational resources, quality teachers and transportation via our school bus.
Holistic Learning Method
We prioritize a Holistic Learning Method, which emphasizes an integrated approach to education. Students learn not only core subjects like Mathematics, Communication, and Science but also how to connect and apply this knowledge across different areas. This approach helps them develop a deeper understanding and the ability to solve problems effectively.
Additionally, we are integrating technology into the classrooms so that students are ready for high school.
School Growth and Facilities
Registered with the Ministry of Education, Guatemala, as Colegio Cristiano Esperanza, the School of Hope began in 2016 with 40 children: 20 in Junior Kindergarten and 20 in Senior Kindergarten. Each year, we have added classrooms, and we now serve over 160 students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 8, with expansion to Grade 9 in 2025. For each new classroom built, we were and continue to add 20 new students in Junior Kindergarten, providing essential space for continued growth.
Building new classrooms helps children attend school in a safe and comfortable environment where they can thrive. Improved facilities and boundary walls enhance the safety of students and staff, fostering a sense of pride in their school.
This growth is made possible through the generous support of our sponsors, who help improve the lives of our students.
Nutrition Support
To combat malnutrition and support overall well-being, we distribute healthy breakfast in kindergarten and elementary students. Quality school facilities and proper nutrition enable children to perform their best, improving test results and opening up more opportunities for their future.
